Hello
My name is Heather. I use EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Schema Therapy. I am able to help with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, life transitions, stress management, self-esteem, and coping skills.
I am passionate about helping people live a happier, more fulfilling life. I have fifteen years' experience working with children, adults, and families with mental illness, trauma, experiences in foster and adoption systems, and overcoming challenging behaviors.
You can expect that our first few sessions will involve the chance for you to tell your story without judgement, an assessment of specific needs, and creating a plan based in common sense that you are comfortable with, and is right for you. I know what it's like to need to talk to someone before you feel you might "bust open" or "fall apart". It's ok to not be ok, as long as you reach out for help. I'm here. Please reach out.
